Legacy

The richness of the Arab Muslim heritage is indisputable and we constantly remember it with pride. However, could it be affirmed as the only geopolitical landmark of Maghreb identity without being a source of exclusion or a reason for inequality ? What about when it is related to women's status ? What about black arabity ? 
Arab muslim imagery, very quickly taken up by orientalist imagery, is full of women covered in gold and silver. Nevertheless, their beauty, that of their ornaments cannot slip away what they endured in the past nor the fight they are still carrying in the présent.
